Tower Cottage is a charming, 18th century, flint house with many original features and a friendly atmosphere, set on the edge of a typical old Norfolk village, opposite its imposing 13th century church. Inside old beams and exposed flintwork add to the feeling of stepping back in time. Winterton-on-Sea now holds the "Best Small Village in Norfolk" award for 2003 and "Village in Bloom" award 2004.
A short stroll takes you to a beautiful, unspoilt, sandy beach and a village pub serving good, reasonably priced meals and traditional ales. The Norfolk Broads waterways and national park, offering fishing, boating, sailing and nature reserves are a few minutes drive, the resort of Great Yarmouth is 8 miles south and the fine medieval city of Norwich is 19 miles to the west.
Many historic houses, splendid gardens, windmills and thatched churches are within easy reach by car.
