The Traube in Plieningen was built in 1680 close to the former castle of the Lords of Bliono. For a long time it was the meeting-point of the bourgeois, farmers, artisans and councilmen, that met there for a good glass of wine and a swabian meal.
Since 1930 - now the third generation of family property - family Recknagel spoils their guests and offers a excellent wine-cave. The ensemble of the buildings consists of the Traube with the original hotel and it’s speciality restaurant, the bistro and bar “Recki’s” and the lately altered “Vis-a-Vis” with new comfort-rooms and generous Junior-Suites.
In Recki’s Bar and Bistro, the former blacksmith’s shop, you can find smaller meals in the bistor and drinks at the bar accompanied by oldie-music. Once a month they offer their guests a special event like cabaret-shows, live-music or wine-tastings.
