Le Bateaugîte
Just outside the vilage Gannay sur Loire you 'll find the property from Aline et Yannick Boucard. Their farm-house is on the same property as well as the pottery and and exposition house.
La ferme de la Fontaine St Jean is build at the well wich supplied the vilage with water for more than 1000 years. People are saying that the well has got curative properties for the eyes. Nowadays the water streams in the two nearby lakes. Fontaine St. Jean van Aline en Yannick Boucard.
At the banks of one of the lakes you will find le Bateaugîte, a vessel of 15 m. lenght in the shade of willows and a poplar.
The ship is made of metal and wood in the way of the traditional building methods of the Loire shipping. This very calme and romantic place, located at the boarder of the small village Gannay sur Loire, 300 m. away from the canal and port, three km. from the Loire is perfect for anglers and peace seekers.
You can throw your angle from the deck [terras] of the ship or fish from the banks of the lake. The fish you'll find are, small fry, roach. tench, big carps, etc.
The spacious and light ship has two sundecks and a airconditioning. Inside you'll find a saloon with dining tabel and arm-chairs also here there is a kitchen with double sink, cooker with oven and a frigerator.
The cabin has a double bed [190-140]. Further more there is a showerroom with shower, toilet and lavabo. On land, in the shadow of the willows, is a terras wih sommer kitchen where you can clean and prepare you self catched fishes for the barbeque.
Here on this beautiful spot you will certain have the change to wake up one morning and see a heron, a kingfisher or a wild duck.
