Camping Playa Joyel is well-located on the Cantabric Sea and surrounded by Noja Natural Wetlands Reserve and the beautiful extensive sandy beach of Ris. Four kilometres of fine sand certainly make Ris beach the busiest in Noja, both for service quality and access, as well as its excellent summertime facilities.
Opposite Ris is the island of San Pedruco, a natural paradise protected by an abundance of vegetation and inhabited by thousands of seagulls.
The island is accessible at low tide. The beaches north-facing orientation produces an abundance of long high tubular waves, making this an excellent spot for surfing, especially in a southerly wind.
