Colonia San Roman is a typical manchega farm from La Manchuela, dedicated to growing cereals and sheep. This farm is located 15 km from Alcalá del Júcar.
It is located in a great area surrounded by barley and wheat fields, almond trees and a typical Mediterranean forest. Wild boars and partidges come to drink water from the nearby Jucár river.
Over the course of time, the Jucár river has shaped the boundaries of the farm, forming a great environment to spend your holidays.
The 19th-century country estate consists of two lines of shepherd houses and a great ancestral home in a colonial style hermitage dedicated to Saint Roman.
The original Arabian-style oven, close to the barbeque, gives an idea about the different people who lived in these lands in times long gone.
